GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited operates across three business areas – energy, transportation, and urban infrastructure . Its energy portfolio includes operational coal-based power plants and renewable assets across wind, solar, and hydro. In transportation, GPUIL manages three national highway concessions across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Haryana-Punjab. Its urban infrastructure business is developing the Krishnagiri Special Investment Region in Tamil Nadu.
In recent years, GPUIL has strengthened its balance sheet through asset monetisation, debt reduction, and resolution of legacy matters. Under its Energy 2.0 strategy , the company has entered the smart metering sector, with operations now live across Uttar Pradesh.
