Wind Power Generation and Grid Supply

GMR Generation Assets Limited functions as a wholly owned subsidiary of GMR Energy Limited. GGAL has built and operates the Gujarat Wind Power Plant , commissioned in July 2011. This turbine marked an early step in GMR's commitment to clean energy .

The plant operates under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), the state's electricity utility. The entire output of the plant is supplied to Gujarat to support the state's electricity needs.
