GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited operates a 1.25 MW wind power plant in Muthayampatty Village, Tirupur district, Tamil Nadu, commissioned in December 2011 under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO). The asset supplies renewable energy to the state grid under a long-term offtake arrangement. Operations and maintenance are managed by Suzlon Global Services Limited, supporting consistent plant performance.
Originally part of GMR Power and Infrastructure Limited, this undertaking was transferred to GMR Infra Limited and subsequently demerged into GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited under a composite scheme of arrangement.
